Project Horizon has been testing an internal Asterisk phone system as another way to deliver operational alerts. The trial covers calls associated with Codex, Needoh and other internal events, using local extensions rather than presenting the feature as a public phone service.
Recent call-path checks showed that seven requested actions were accepted by the PBX interface. The observed branches included an answer from extension 100. Other extension contacts were not all available, and handset audio was not independently verified in that check.
Owner Daniel Bayliss is using the trial to understand which notifications deserve a call and which are better sent through quieter channels. Repeated calls for low-priority events can be distracting, while a missed urgent alert can be costly.
The next useful step is to check a complete end-to-end alert on the intended device and record the result. Until then, these tests demonstrate call routing rather than a fully proven notification experience.
